The Freightliner Cascadia is the most common Class 8 truck in North America, and its radiator is one of the most frequently replaced cooling system components. The aluminum core is designed to handle the extreme heat output of high-horsepower diesel engines running long highway cycles — but neglected coolant chemistry, road debris, and vibration eventually take their toll.
There are three radiator SKUs covering different Cascadia year ranges. The TFR0031 covers 2012–2018 trucks. The TFR0023 is for Gen 4 Cascadia trucks from 2018–2025. The TFR0004 is for Gen 5 New Cascadia trucks from 2022–2025 — it has a stronger core to handle the higher horsepower of the Gen 5 powertrain. Gen 4 and Gen 5 radiators are not interchangeable.
