Semi Truck A/C Condensers — OEM-Spec Replacements for Class 8 Trucks

The A/C condenser sits at the front of your truck, typically ahead of the radiator, and releases heat from the refrigerant after it leaves the compressor. Exposed to road debris, rocks, and insects, it is one of the more commonly damaged A/C components on semi trucks. A bent or leaking condenser reduces A/C performance and forces the compressor to work harder, leading to premature compressor failure.

At True Truck Parts, we carry OEM-spec A/C condensers for Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, International, and Western Star. Serving fleets in Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Milton, Oakville, Burlington, and across the GTA. Same-day quoting, Canada-wide delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions — A/C Condensers

What are the signs of a failing A/C condenser on a semi truck?

Signs include reduced A/C cooling performance, visible physical damage or bent fins, oily residue around fittings indicating refrigerant leaks, the A/C system triggering a low-pressure warning, or the compressor cycling on and off rapidly due to low refrigerant caused by a leak.

Can a damaged condenser be repaired or does it need replacement?

Minor fin damage from road debris can sometimes be straightened without affecting performance. However, leaks from cracks or punctures cannot be reliably repaired long-term — replacement is the correct solution. A leaking condenser will slowly lose refrigerant and eventually cause the compressor to seize from running without adequate lubrication.

Does the A/C condenser need to be replaced with the compressor?

Not necessarily. The condenser only needs replacement if it is damaged or leaking. However, if the compressor failed internally and debris entered the system, the condenser should be flushed or replaced along with the receiver-dryer to prevent contamination of the new compressor.

What makes and models do your condensers fit?

Our condenser inventory covers Freightliner Cascadia, Columbia, and Century; Kenworth T680, T880, and T660; Peterbilt 386, 387, and 389; Volvo VNL series; Mack Anthem, Pinnacle, and Granite; International LT and RH series; and Western Star 4900 and 5700 models.
